Public Transport and Parking
Carmarthen has impressive transport communications with a number of road links converging on the town. These roads are the A40, A48, A484 and A485.
Carmarthen railway station is on the West Wales Line. Carmarthen town is served by rail links through to Cardiff via Swansea to the east and Fishguard Harbour, Milford Haven, Tenby, Pembroke and Pembroke Dock to the west.
Carmarthen town is served by direct intercity trains to London during the summer.
There is also a Park and Ride service running daily from Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm every 15 minutes from Nantyci to the west of Carmarthen town.
Carmarthen has an excellent Monday to Saturday bus service, linking the market town with destinations such as Haverfordwest, Cardigan, Aberystwyth, Llandovery, Ammanford, Llanelli and Swansea.
There are low floor easy access vehicles on almost all services which operate in the area. Carmarthen has had 13 pay and display car parks boasting an impressing 1,693 parking bays to serve its bustling shopping centre including a multi storey car park right at the heart of St Catherine's Shopping Centre.
